Elder Sanhueza and I have been working our butts off again this last week. He loves to work so it is always fun going out to teach everyday. We continue to work hard with the less actives and members and are in search for all of their family members and friends who are chosen and prepared. My companion gave his first talk in sacrament meeting in the mission to inspire members to SHARE THE GOSPEL. President Howard Hunter said that a great indicator of the level of our own conversion is the need we feel to share the Gospel with others. I invite all of you to pray for missionary experiences!
We were also able to have personal revelation as we taught the 10 commandments to a less active church member! When we hear the words "don't take the name of God in vain," we often immediately think of a three word phrase that covers the vocabulary of many people. But as members of the Church of Jesus Christ, we have taken upon us His name and thus have promised to become as He wants us to be and to act in a way that He would in a given situation. We have promised to keep all of His commandments, and in turn, God has promised us with His guidance and forgiveness for our faults. We must make sure that the decisions that we make, the things we say, and what we do always makes us an "example of the believers" and in that way, become the light of the world which Christ has asked us to be, beacons to help God's children who have gotten lost or have strayed.
I love and miss you all!

Week 80- Villa Maria, Lima, Peru: Share the Gospel!

Week 79- Villa Maria, Lima, Peru: Villllllllllllllllllllllllllllla Mariiiiaaaaaa
This week has been cool; Elder Sanhueza and I started and ended the week finding two new families, a total of 12 people! The cool part is that we found them through members, one of whom was a member who gave us a reference and the other was a less active whose address we found who was baptized when she was 8 many years ago. We are hoping that these people are prepared to receive the restored Gospel. Members, invite your friends to listen and see what miracles God will give you.

Week 78- Villa Maria, Lima, Peru: Conferencia General
We finally watched general conference! It was awesome! I hope all of you apply in your lives the great messages that God has given to us through our leaders. We were especially happy to be able to bring 36 people to this conference as a district. We worked hard to get our friends there, and I know that it paid off for each and every one of them.
I would like to put emphasis on Richard G. Scott's talk. All families need to put emphasis on their spiritual family activities. Please put priority on your personal studies and prayers also. A testimony is a flame that needs fuel or a seed that needs nurturing. Lack of care diminishes the strength of either while consistent care allows for an incredible growth. Parents, if you are not having weekly family home evenings, please change that. Children, if you are not supporting your parents as they attempt to help you, please change that. Nothing is more important than the family. It is one of the few things that we can take with us after this life.
I love and miss you all!

Week 77- Villa Maria, Lima, Peru: Still in Villa Maria!
So transfers came and I am still in Villa Maria with Elder Sanhueza! We are working super hard and are starting to see more fruits of our labors. We are working hard with the less actives and have made many plans to bring them to General Conference. We were unable to see conference this last weekend because there is a law in Peru where people cannot congregate during voting hours, and seeing as to how elections were last weekend, as a country conference was postponed for a week.
I will write more next week! There's no more time!
I love and miss you all!
